Frequently asked questions

Is this site affiliated with Apple?
No. findmyiphone.onl is an independent help site. 'Find My', 'iPhone', 'iPad' and 'Mac' are trademarks of Apple Inc. We simply explain how the features work.
Can this website see my location?
No. A website can only get your location if you explicitly allow it in a browser prompt, and we never store it. The device check on our homepage reads only what your browser already exposes.
Why is Find My not updating a location?
Usually the other device is offline, out of battery, has Location Services off, or is in Low Power Mode. Our step-by-step fix walks through each cause in order.
Can someone track me without me knowing?
Not through Find My. Location sharing must be switched on by you, it is visible in the People tab, and you can stop it at any moment. Apple also alerts you if an unknown AirTag is travelling with you.
Can I find my iPhone's MAC address from a website?
No — browsers deliberately block that. You can read it on the device under Settings › General › About › Wi-Fi Address. See our MAC address guide.
